Hello everyone my name is Jessica from class 20. Does everyone love food? Well i love food. Especially meat, and cake. Today I would like to show you guys what I ate with my family and with my friends during this GLPS camp. Well I mostly took these pictures on Sunday because I wasn't able to eat this stuff in the dormitory.

This is a shaved ice with red bean paste. Before I came into this camp I went to Cafe Bean in Won Ju and ate shaved ice red bean paste with my mom, uncle,and my grandma. When I first ordered this shaved ice I was really excited because I haven't ate it for a while.Also I won't be able to eat it, because of my diet. My mom told me to loss 5 kg during the camp. I thought that this shaved ice with red bean paste was kind of big. In the cafe it smelled like coffee , it smelled good. Also i heard background music in the cafe, I saw lots of people. Most of them were couples so it was kinda annoying. The shaved ice was heavy ice was heavy and thought I was holding a rock. it tasted like ice, well it's obvious . Crunchy and cold ice, melting. Also the red bean paste was sweet and squishy. It's a brownish red color there was also rice cake on the shaved ice. The rice cake was white and smooth. There was ice cream on top. I was vanilla ice cream with almond cube on.

Before the KMLA camp starts. We went to Hanu store. Well it was for our lunch but, before we went to the Hanu store we couldn't find any restaurant near by, so my uncle was driving around, and around. Well finally we found the House called Henson Hanu Store. At the store it was self service so me bought the meat from the next store and choose the meat you wanna eat and cooked it. I think we bought 5 or 6 pack of meat but, I think it was to much because I ate shaved ice with red bean paste before that. So my stomach was full of ice, rice cake, and ice cream. Well when we cooked the meat I loved the sound. I felt like I won't be able to eat this meat for a while. Also the smell of meat and the smell of garlic. For the side dish we had bibimbap, rice, kimchi, ans some other basic Korean traditional side dished.

 

I took this picture on Sunday the second week of my camp when my parents came to visit to see me. My uncle said he wants to eat Hanu but, I said I wanted to go to outback in Wonju. So we drove to Wonju. Well, our navigation was old so it took us 1~2 hours to find there. Well I hd to walk up to third floor cause the elevator was full so I had to walk up but, I thought I was gonna die because of it was very humid  outside. Well finally I got to the third floor I was out of breath where I got into the store there were lots of people, also some kids were running around holding stuffed animals. We waited for an hour . After it was our turn to sit down there was guy who looked similar too Lee Jung Suk. He was tall, and handsome. It was first sight love, but sadly he had a girlfriend. Well the food was awesome it was onion ring with some special spice in it, honey brown bread with butter. Also chicken rice, steak, potato salad, vegetable dip, and blood orange smoothie, I don't remember what I ate last, last week. When the steak came to our table I almost screamed because it was really big. We ordered 250g of meat. Well eventually my uncle helped me eat the steak. Well I thought it was a good memory.

I took this picture at Wonju's pastry shop. After I ate my lunch I was shopping with my mom while I went by this pastry shop. The pastry looked really delicious so I couldn't just go by. Well I asked my mom to buy me at least one cake because I worked hard for two weeks. I loved the smell of the sweetness. I don't usually buy cakes I make them but I haven't ate cake for a while so. I took me like almost 20 minute to choose one single cake. Eventually I choose the Green Tea tiramisu. When I first ate the cake I thought it was to sweet for me so I ordered black tea too. While I was eating the cake I wished I could eat more. 

   

I took this picture last week when my mom and I went to the river bank. Well while I was playing I saw someone familiar. Well actually it was one of my roommates and my best friend, Lee Chae Young. Well I said hi to Chae Young. Suddenly her parents came to me and said eat with us.  We actually didn't have lunch either. My Mom thought it was rude so she said sorry but Chae Young's mom said it doesn't really matter. So we ate barbecue together. While the parents were cooking Chae Young and I swam in the riverbank. It felt like I was in heaven cause inside the water it was cold, but outside it was humid. Well they called us to each lunch. Before we ate lunch we changed into our casual cloths. Then we ran to our parents. Well it took us like a second to change. We ate some vegetables and lots of meat. We cooked the meat by charcoal . So I thought it tasted good.  I LOVED THE SOUND OF THE RIVER GOING BY. IT WAS MT BEST MEMORY EVER IN 2013 SUMMER

I took this picture in a French restaurant near by Wonju. I thought this restaurant was gorgeous, well I'm not sure what the name of this restaurant was but I thought the food were nice. We ordered a course so it was little expensive. First came the appetizer shown in this picture. Then came out was soup, it was called Vichyssoise. Vichyssoise is a thick soup made of onnion, potato, cream, and chicken stock. So this soup was something new for me. After the was a Carbonara. There was really thick bacon in the pasta, I believe it was about 2 or 3 centimeters. Finally the main dish. The main dish was an Australian steak.It was soft and tasted good. I don't remember what the name of the meat was but, I believe it was expensive. Last came was the dessert. The dessert was chocolate mousse, with coco powder sprinkled on the macaroon. When all the courses were done I thought I have gained weight like 5kg, but overall it was nice to eat.

I took this picture in the dormitory with my friends. NaHyun's roommates. Obviously you can see it is a chicken with side dish and also Pepsi. There were two kinds of sauce. One was spicy barbecue and the and the second was sweet sauce. I personally liked the sweet sauce better. Most of my friends also liked the sweet sauce better. Oh and NaHyun had brought  orange Fanta. We tried an experiment of what would taste like if we mixed Fanta and Pepsi. When we mixed it the color was brownish it the color was brownish black, well it looked disgusting and the color was like the dirt. But it smelled like normal juice.  We all thought that it would fasted horrible by the look of it but actually it tasted good. Well thats what my friends said. I totally disagreed with that. I almost threw up, well I didn't actually throw up but....

I thought the foods I ate were delicious and good, but also I miss my mom's homemade food. I wish I can eat those linds of food again, and have fun. I wonder if you guys had any food you liked!

Dear, Mom

I am writing this letter because, I believe that my mom should not tell me to lose weight. Many experts like Doctor Lee, for example agree with me. I will explain reasons for this and give facts to support my opinion.
The first reason is because even though my mom doesn't need to say it I can lose weight by my self. There are statics to show this is true, according to Doctor Lee weight loss isn't exactly easiest thing to do. It's annoying. When ever your parents says lose weight you get stressed. Also you have to put all this effort forward making changes to your comfortable.
The second reason is because when ever my mom say just give up it just pisses me off. You know when you're only eating salad and go to exercise for 2~3 hours, and  come back home all relaxed and suddenly mom saying to just give up cause she thought I was just relaxing on the coach rolling on the sofa watching TV. Also when your mom asks you what were you doing and you say I went to the gym and exercised she won't believe me, and that would cause stress and also you could actually give up on diet.

The final reason is because when ever you go out with your friends my mom runs and say how much did you eat, or ask me to go on the scale. She does this every time when I go out with my friends, I can do this by myself I am old enough. Well let me give you some facts to support this reason. Well first of all most of my friends are skinny and they don't really eat much, I understand that you would think so what but that's the point. I get stressed when I see skinny people besides me naturally I would start eat less. Why do you think it is........  it is because you get effected by the person besides you and try to eat less.
As you can see, my mo should not tell me to lose weight. Based on my arguments, I hope you will consider my point of view.

9 tailed foxes love

   Long time ago in Chosun Dynasty there was a pretty nine tailed fox called Minhee. She was 200 years old. In human age she would be 17 years old. All the male foxes wanted to marry her.Well her mom, the Queen of 9-tailed fox family, told her to marry a prince. First she agreed about the marriage but, she wanted to find her own love.So she ran away on the day of the wedding ceremony. Her mom punished her for being rude and embarrassing her so, for punishment she was sent to the future 2013 in Seol. Also she had to accomplish  something, it was to eat 100 human liver in 152 day. First she didn't know how to hunt so she was just sitting on the bench, well there were 3 guys who tried to hit on her, cause she was beautiful as a rose. Well she thought that it would be a good opportunity to try out how human liver tastes. MInhee thought it was fun and loved listening human screaming for help and desires to live. It took her 135 days to eat 99 human being's liver. She had one more liver to eat but, she wanted to choose carefully for her last prey. As she walked around Seol she saw a commercial of Kim Woo Bin of his next drama called, School 2013. Minhee fell in love with him. He was tall, handsome, good at acting and also good at modeling. She loved Woo Bin so much that she stalked him, well she was lucky that she got a ticket for Woo Bin's fashion show. At the fashion show Woo Bin was the main model, and all the girls in the fashion show were attracted to him. During the fashion show she sneaked out and went to the backstage and went to see Woo Bin but one of the staff said the main girl model hurt her leg. Woo Bin grabbed Minhee and told her, "Can you please be the model?" Minhee was so nervous that she didn't answer his question suddenly, he grabbed her to the make up room and started to put on make up on her. Woo BIn yelled to the staff to prepare, and make her into most beautiful women in the world. Everyone was surprised and they started dressing up Minhee. After 3 minutes later Woo Bin came by and asked if she is ready. When he saw Minhee he fell in love. She was beautiful, and all the staff were really surprised. It was the time for the stage. He said, "don't worry I will support you!" She nodded and went on to the stage.

Minhee walked naturally on the stage, when she got off the stage everyone screamed "hooray!" Woo Bin hugged her tight. Everyone was expecting something more but, they were happy enough. Minhee's head went blank and she fainted. When she woke up she was lying down on a big king size bed. She was surprised and saw Woo Bin sitting on the sofa. He was staring at her for 5 minutes and said you really are beautiful then a rose". She was so hyper that her tails came out. Woo BIn was surprised and amazed. He wasn't scared of frightened. It was first sight love Minhee had no idea what she had to do, She had only one day left and she had to eat a human. She told the reason and explained her situation.

Movie Review

Hello everyone, I am Jessica from class 20. Today I will review on the movie called, "The Princess Bride". Let me first tell you a brief background of this movie. The Princess Bride was made in 1987 by director/producer Rob Reiner, and the actors were, Robin Wright (Butterercup the main character), Cary Elwes ( Westley he main character). The movie was filmed in United Kingdom also in Ire Land. The Princess Bride was ranked in 88 on 100 funniest movies.

This movie's genre was action, romance, and adventure movie. There were 2 main characters and 6 supporting characters. The main characters are Buttercup, and Westley. Supporting characters are Prince Humperdinck (villain), Fezzick ( he first was villain but, at last became hero), Inigo (he first was villain but, at last became hero), Miracle Max, and finally Count Rugen (villain). First of all the movie starts with a boy who is sick. His grandpa came and read a book to his grandson, A story about a girl falling love with a farm boy (Westly), but farm boy had to leave her. 5 years later Buttercup was about to marry Prince Humperdinck but, she was kidnapped by the villians. The ending was really romantic and lovely. Westly rescued  Buttercup from the kidnappers and cancelled the marriage with Prince Humperdinck. At last Westly and Buttercup had a kiss scene. I personally thought it was nice piece of movie about adventure, and romance. The movie took place in the cliff of insanity, fire swamp[Rous- Rod dents of unusual size] (shrieking Ell), forest of thieves, and pit of despair. From this particulate movie I learned what true love means and it is a strong bond. From this movie the qualities of leadership were strong because Fezzick, and Inigo were villain and tryed to kill Westly. But westly didn't killed them and he let them go. At last Fezzick and Inigo supported Westly and helped each other and trust each other of a word called friend.

One thing I really liked about the movie  had some action scenes. The bad thing about this movie was too many kiss scenes. Also the story was kinda obvious and easy to predict what will happen next. Overall, I personally liked it a lot and it was interesting, also entertaining. There were some violent parts but, we laughed it off and it was a great movie.

My 30day goals

While I am in GLPS I am gonna set three goals. Also achieve three goals during the next 30days. My first goal to achieve is to lose weight. I want to lose at least 5kg. To achieve my goal I have to eat less food and not eat snacks. Also I won't eat any rice and bread for next 30 days. I also have to exercise everyday. We walk up and down the hills for lunch and dinner. When I walk up the hills I will walk fast. Also before I go to bed I will stretch first.

My second goal is to not get caught on EOP by PAs and TAs. The 2 steps for achieving my goal are trying hard and keeping up my English. I will make friends with the Pas and TAs by leaving a good impression to them.

For my last goal, I want to make lots of friends.To achieve my goal I will be friendly and kind, also leave them a good impression so that we could be friends. To make lots of friends I will smile and say "hi" to my friends. I will achieve these three goals during next 30days, so that after I leave GLPS I would be thinner, smarter and friendlier.

Three things about me

My name is Tomoko Takayama or Jessica. There are three things that are unique, and interesting about me. Well, the first thing is "half". I am half Korean, and half Japanese. My mom is Korean, and my dad is Japanese. The weird thing is that my mom is Korean but works in Japan, and my dad is Japanese but works in Korea. The second thing that is interesting is "cake". I have a license from a cooking school in Japan called "ABC cooking Studio". The reason why I got the license is because I really like eating cake and always asked my mom to buy them. Eventually my mom got tired and set me to cooking school to make them. My last thing that is unique about me is the number "5". I can speak 5 different languages including English and, Korean. Also I can speak Japanese, Spanish, And Lastly French. I learned Spanish and French in my school back in the United Sates, Maryland. These three are my most unique, also interesting, about me.
